About the book

It's the week leading up to Halloween and Theodosia Browning, owner of the Indigo Tea Shop, along with her tea sommelier, Drayton, are wandering through the dimly lit streets of Charleston on their way to the historic Bouchard Mansion. The mansion, known as the Gray Ghost, has recently been gifted to the Heritage Society and tonight marks the debut of their spooky haunted house, filled with literary and historical themes.

While Timothy Neville, the leader of the Heritage Society, isn't too keen on the idea of a fundraiser, it's the perfect opportunity for his grandniece, Willow French, to promote her latest book, Carolina Crimes & Creepers. However, the evening takes a dark turn when Willow's lifeless body is discovered hanging from the tower room, leading to chaos as the police arrive on the scene and Theodosia's detective boyfriend, Pete Riley, is shot and injured.

Tragedy strikes, and Timothy turns to Theodosia for help in solving the mystery behind Willow's murder. Shaken by the attack on Pete, she dives headfirst into the investigation, questioning suspects and uncovering hidden secrets within the Heritage Society. As Halloween approaches, the Gray Ghost reveals more than just a haunted house, with each twist and turn bringing new revelations and danger.
