Everyone in Merry Wrath's hometown of Who's There, Iowa is excited as The Miss Butterpig Pageant for middle school girls comes to town! While the pageant moms may be the most enthusiastic, there are also girls in Merry's Girl Scout troop eagerly looking forward to competing. Some new faces even join the competition, such as a poetry-writing goth, a Russian bodybuilder, and a baton-wielding kid with a tight ponytail.

Merry, along with her friends Kelly, Hilly, Kevin, and the Hamlets, are selected as judges for the pageant, adding to the anticipation for the upcoming event. However, things take a dark turn when one of the pageant moms is discovered dead behind the theater, right after attempting to sway the judges in favor of her daughter.

She's the brightest of them all, floating on cloud nine...

Amidst Russian gangsters, troop members vying for the crown, a singing goose, and pushy pageant moms, Merry must quickly unravel this mystery to ensure the show goes on and Miss Butterpig is crowned!
