About the book

Whether they like it or not, culture is making its way to Who's There, Iowa through community theater! Merry Wrath, a former CIA operative who is now a suburban Girl Scout Troop leader, is optimistic about the renovation of Ye Olde Opera House. Newcomers Ophelia and her husband Dante, who come from off-off-off Broadway (...Street in Peoria), bring their stage pig, Iago, to produce the play Derek the Sparkly Unicorn Ninja, written by the enigmatic SeBasquetian deCatalonia Braveheart.

However, chaos ensues as half the town, along with their hamsters, show up for auditions. Merry finds herself volunteering as Stage Manager, while her troop plans daring stunts and risky special effects. The situation is not helped by Ophelia's over-the-top acting and Dante's belief that seducing women will earn him a Tony Award. Things take a sinister turn when one of the actors takes Method Acting too far and ends up dead on stage.

Merry must act quickly to uncover the killer before another victim falls prey to the deadly drama!
