Unfortunately, things take a dark turn when one of the mayors is murdered. The question now is: who is the killer? Could it be the mayor from the termite-infested town, the snobbish mayor with roots in the town's founders, or the mayor who always dresses as an ear of corn? Perhaps it's the mayor from the lobster capital of Iowa or even the mayor who is an actual pig? To make matters worse, the victim's final wish was for Rex to solve the case before the conference ends, despite the fact that it's not in his jurisdiction!
