When CIA agent Merry Wrath is "accidentally" exposed, she is forced into early retirement, undergoes a makeover, and relocates to a place where she can't be easily found-Iowa. Gone are the days of black bag drops in Bangkok, as she now spends her time leading a young Girl Scout troop. However, Merry's newfound peaceful life takes a chaotic turn when an enemy agent is found dead at the scout camp. Suddenly, Merry must confront her past in order to protect her future.

Things only get more complicated when the CIA sends her former, attractive handler to investigate...and when the attractive new neighbor turns out to be the detective handling her case. To add to the chaos, Merry ends up with a roommate who is not only a former KGB agent but also a bimbo. Dealing with this unexpected situation proves to be more challenging than any mission in Waukegan or selling cookies in the spring. Merry finds herself unprepared for what lies ahead, as neither the CIA nor the Girl Scouts' manuals have equipped her for this new reality.
