About the book

Humans ventured out into space only to discover a universe teeming with various alien species hellbent on destroying them. It was then that the Colonial Union was established, aimed at safeguarding humanity from the dangers of a hostile cosmos. Utilizing Earth's surplus population, the Colonial Union recruited colonists and soldiers, a mutually beneficial agreement...from the perspective of the Union, at least. However, Earth eventually put its foot down and declared, "no more."

Now, the Colonial Union finds itself on borrowed time, with just a few decades left before the Colonial Defense Forces are depleted and human settlements are left defenseless against waiting alien adversaries, poised to exploit any sign of weakness and bring about humanity's downfall. Complicating matters further is a clandestine group lurking in the shadows of space, manipulating both humans and aliens alike for reasons unknown.

In this crumbling universe, CDF Lieutenant Harry Wilson, along with Colonial Union diplomats, race against time to uncover the masterminds behind the assaults on the Union and alien races, to broker peace with a distrustful Earth, and to preserve humanity's unity...or face annihilation, extinction, and the ultimate demise of all existence.
