John Scalzi was the recipient of the prestigious 2006 John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer, and his first novel Old Man's War received critical acclaim as a finalist for the Hugo Award. In addition to this debut success, Scalzi has authored several other novels such as The Ghost Brigades, The Last Colony, and The Android's Dream. Currently residing in southern Ohio, Scalzi lives with his wife and daughter.
