About the book
In the year 2000, Laredo Wynn, a former Special Forces soldier, narrowly escaped death, bearing both physical and emotional scars from the experience. He held onto the promise that one day he would seek redemption for what transpired. Fast forward sixteen years, a sudden call interrupts his peaceful night, summoning him to repay a long-standing debt. The caller, now holding a powerful position and aspiring for even greater heights, needs certain questionable deeds erased from his past. Despite his reluctance, Laredo agrees, knowing that this might be his chance to cleanse his conscience.
Leaving behind his tranquil life at a ranch in West Texas, Laredo embarks on a journey to Chicago with a heavy heart. However, the task at hand quickly spirals out of control upon his arrival. The distinction between friend and foe becomes increasingly blurred, pushing Laredo to revisit his darker instincts and question the extent of his commitment to settling his debts.
