As winter arrives on North Carolina’s Outer Banks, Lucy Richardson and her group of friends happily assist her beloved cousin, Josie O'Malley, in planning her upcoming wedding. Josie, the owner and main baker at Josie's Cozy Bakery, and her fiance, chef Jake Greenblatt, desire a small, uncomplicated wedding.

However, their plans are disrupted by Josie's overbearing grandmother, Gloria, who arrives with the ‘Louisiana Mafia’: a group of aunts and cousins seeking to take charge of the wedding arrangements.
