Two and a half years after suddenly losing the love of my life, I’m emerging from the haze of early grief and reevaluating my future. Juggling the care of three young children on my own and helping them navigate their own grief has left me little time to contemplate what comes next for myself. Yet, when I consider my deepest desires, one person keeps coming to mind. Someone who can truly empathize with my pain because he has experienced similar loss, though his was even greater than mine. Thoughts of him consume me, but I wonder if he is prepared for what I seek. I cannot be certain, but I am resolute in my determination to discover the answer.
