About the book

Fleeing a smashed rebellion and near execution by their supposed allies, Dirk, Gavin, Dena and Ana decide to leave Scruggs and Lee behind during the battle. Unfortunately, local medical treatment proves inadequate for Lee, who ultimately surrenders to the Imperials in order to save Scruggs’s life by arranging to surrender to Devin's ship. However, a failed meet-up results in all of them falling into Devin's custody, surrounded by his Marines. The situation seems dire for our heroes, but Devin receives surprising news that leaves him concerned. He has a proposition for Dirk and his group: they can have Scruggs and their desires fulfilled, but they must be willing to switch sides!
