About the book
Navy SEAL Denton Hamilton has recently arrived at Hathaway House in hopes of experiencing the same positive results his friends have achieved at the rehabilitation facility. Despite missing a rib, muscles, and a portion of his stomach, along with suffering from PTSD, Denton is primarily seeking physical healing. However, he remains doubtful about whether his mental health can ever fully recover, and the idea of finding a woman who will accept him in his current state seems impossible. Who would be willing to love him?
Hathaway House's Administrative Assistant, Hannah Forsythe, assists Dani in managing the facility. Though typically a loner, she is drawn to Denton's struggles and disheartened by his belief that he is unlovable. Unfortunately, a misguided comment she makes causes unexpected setbacks in Denton's progress, prompting Hannah to distance herself in order to facilitate his recovery.
As time goes by, Hannah questions whether her decision has cost her the chance at everything she desires, or if Denton can overcome his issues to pave the way for a happy ending for both of them at Hathaway House.
