Brenda Jackson, a bestselling author with works featured on New York Times and USA Today, was born in Jacksonville, Florida. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Jacksonville University, she tied the knot with her high school sweetheart, Gerald. Together, they raised two sons, Gerald Jr. and Brandon, who are now thirty-six and thirty-four years old. Brenda is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Her writing journey kicked off in 1995 with the publication of her debut novel, Tonight and Forever. With a prolific career in writing, she has penned over 100 books, including the adaptation of her works into a TV movie by BET, One Special Moment, and the feature film Truly Everlasting. Brenda garnered a nomination for the 2012 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Literary Fiction for her book, A Silken Thread, and was honored with the Romance Writers of America's prestigious Nora Roberts Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012.
