About the book

Jewel wakes up in the hospital, completely unaware of the events leading to her being found on the highway, apparently deceased. The awakening process is harsh, and she is puzzled by her instinctual search for a missing necklace she believes was around her neck. Was she a victim of a crime, left beaten and robbed? And if so, for what reason? With a scarce number of friends and family members, Jewel finds solace in Hurricane, who unexpectedly becomes a beacon of hope in a chaotic world.

Stefan had requested Hurricane's aid in assisting Jewel and retrieving a potentially hazardous necklace. Despite encountering numerous dangers in his own life, Hurricane finds Jewel's current situation to be particularly unsettling.

As the menacing storm escalates around them, Hurricane is faced with the daunting task of protecting Jewel while she struggles to piece together her memories and maintain her sanity... slipping further away from his grasp with each passing moment.
