Dealing with financial issues constantly looming over him and overshadowing his time at Hathaway House, Timothy struggles to resist the urge to push himself to his limits against medical advice. Despite the added stress of his uncertain stay, he is determined to make the most of his time there.

Savannah chose to become a doctor to make a difference in people's lives, but her parents were initially disappointed when she decided to work at Hathaway House. They believed she was settling for an easy career instead of aiming for something more prestigious. While they may have a point, Savannah finds happiness in her choice and believes that should be valued.

As Savannah witnesses Timothy pushing himself too hard, she realizes the importance of finding a balance in life and tries to help him relax. These shared experiences bring up fears and a mutual desire to support each other in achieving that equilibrium—and possibly, if they are fortunate, discovering a connection between them.
