About the book

Nash has been facing challenges in his recovery journey following his recent surgeries. Despite facing numerous delays, he managed to secure a transfer to Hathaway House based on a friend's suggestion. However, upon arriving at the new facility, he realizes that he may not be fully prepared for the progress he had hoped to achieve.

Adding to his frustrations, on his first day at Hathaway House, Nash unexpectedly encounters Alicia, the woman he had once loved deeply but had to let go. Seeing him in his current state only adds to his feelings of inadequacy.

Over a decade ago, Alicia made the difficult decision to end things with Nash, believing that a long-distance relationship with a sailor would not fulfill her dreams. However, after her brother's passing, she dedicated herself to caring for others.

Reuniting with Nash brings a mix of joy and heartache for Alicia. The connection between them is immediate, as if no time has passed. But with the changes and experiences they have both undergone since then, the question remains: can they now make a relationship work, or is it too late for a future together?
