Sophie Ranald, the youngest of five sisters, was born in Zimbabwe and had resided in South Africa until she felt the urge to move to London in her mid-20s. Working as an editor for a customer publishing agency, Sophie honed her storytelling skills by crafting tales of exotic holidays to destinations she had never actually been to. In 2011, she made the bold decision to pursue full-time fiction writing, ignoring all the well-meaning advice given to aspiring writers. After a rocky start, her debut novel It Would Be Wrong to Steal My Sister's Boyfriend (Wouldn't It?) flowed effortlessly onto the page. This success was followed by four more novels and a box set, with Sorry Not Sorry hitting shelves in February 2019. Sophie also enjoys writing for magazines and online platforms, covering topics ranging from food and fashion to finance and running. She currently resides in south-east London with her incredible partner Hopi and their two lovable feline companions.
