Shari Lapena

Before becoming a writer of fiction, Shari Lapena worked as a lawyer and English teacher. Her writing has been recognized with nominations for the CBC Literary Awards and she was the winner of the Great Toronto Literary Project in 2004. Additionally, her book, Things Go Flying, was a finalist for the 2009 Sunburst Award. Lapena's work has been published in The Dalhousie Review and The Globe and Mail, and she is a graduate of the Humber School for Writers. She currently resides in Toronto.
