Introducing Natasha Pulley, a resident of the fens near Ely, who embarked on her literary journey while studying English Literature at Oxford University. The inspiration for her novel, The Watchmaker of Filigree Street, first struck her during her time at the university. Following graduation, Natasha spent six weeks teaching English in China, where she gained a deeper understanding of what it means to be a foreigner.
Her diverse experiences include working as a bookseller at Waterstones during the holiday season and serving as a publishing assistant at Cambridge University Press, focusing on the astronomy and maths departments. Natasha further honed her craft by pursuing a Creative Writing MA at UEA.
When she's not immersed in writing (which is a rare occurrence), Natasha enjoys delving into the realm of literature. Ghost stories and historical fiction hold a special place in her heart, and she is currently exploring Japanese literature while slowly mastering the Japanese language. For Natasha, fiction offers a captivating escape from the mundane tasks of daily life, like grocery shopping and wrestling with Microsoft Excel.
