About the book

Deciding to return to his hometown in Maine to search for Katch, a missing K9 dog, was a difficult choice for Zane. It meant confronting his alcoholic father, his distant older brother, and, most painfully, Holly, his late brother's widow who also happened to be his ex-girlfriend.

Locating Katch seemed like the least complicated part of this dysfunctional reunion. Little did Zane know, he wasn't the only one on the hunt for the lost dog.

Over the years, Holly had been through a rollercoaster of emotions. Despite it all, she held onto the hope that Zane would eventually come back home. They had unresolved issues from the past and a potential future to build together...at least, she hoped.

An urgent plea for assistance brings the injured K9 to Holly's doorstep, along with a relentless hunter intent on finishing what he had started. The prospect of a future with Zane is now jeopardized as the hunter sees human targets as fair game in addition to their original prey.
