About the book

Weston found himself at a crossroads in his life, learning about his unknown daughter who had already been adopted by another family after the father's passing. Accepting the task of finding the missing, blind-in-one-eye, limping war dog named Shambhala in Alaska seemed to be the perfect opportunity to address this unresolved issue.

Locating the dog was easier than anticipated, but uncovering the truth behind the murder of the dog's owners proved to be a challenging task for Weston.

Now a widow, Daniela recognized the need for a father figure in her daughter's life and reached out to Weston, unsure if he was aware of the baby's existence. Concern arose when Weston confirmed he was on his way, and fear set in when Sari's birth mother unexpectedly appeared at Daniela's door in search of her daughter.
