The ConFed has reigned over the galactic quadrant for close to two millennia. Throughout this time, a relative peace has been maintained through the intimidating presence of their powerful fleet. However, like all empires, their supremacy will eventually fade.

With the decline of the ConFed and the retreat of their fleet to the Core Worlds, the strong once again prey upon the weak. In the outer regions, illegal trafficking rings have emerged alongside the streams of refugees, making the journey for new settlers perilous.
