Clay Carson believed his days as an outlaw were long gone. In the past, he was a member of the notorious Dirty Creek Gang and took part in robbing numerous banks in Texas. However, a failed heist in Fort Worth put an end to it all. The gang disbanded, went their separate ways, and that was the end of it. But today, Carson is unexpectedly contacted through a telegram. It’s from Lemuel Jones - his former gang leader - who proposes a daring plan: to gather the old gang for one last job.

Jones reveals that he had hidden the gang’s biggest loot from their most ambitious bank robbery, and now he needs Carson and the rest of the gang to help him retrieve it. Carson had assumed the money was lost due to his old boss's gambling habits, and he is skeptical about the loyalty of his former gang members. Most of them have turned their lives around and now have legit jobs as a store clerk, ranch hand, and even a banker. The only remaining outlaw has been captured and is facing execution. This means the crew must free him from jail and escape with law enforcement on their trail. It’s a crazy plan, no doubt. But the Dirty Creek Gang is crazy enough to give it a try - even if it's their swan song . . .
