About the book

Former Justice Department operative, Cotton Malone, is summoned to Sweden to assist in the case of the king' sister being abducted. The ransom demand is for an ancient book known as the Codex Gigas, a valuable illuminated manuscript that has been in Stockholm for centuries and is also referred to as the Devil' Bible. The Czech Republic is seeking to reclaim the codex, with Russia suspected of involvement in the kidnapping. Cotton and Cassiopeia Vitt must find the missing woman, protect the codex, and thwart any attempts to sabotage the return of the book. However, they soon discover that allegiances are shifting, old enemies may now be allies, and past acquaintances are resurfacing to complicate matters. Their journey takes them from the serene streets of Stockholm to the turbulent Baltic Sea, ultimately leading to a confrontation aboard a legendary Swedish warship that will change their lives forever.
