In 1946 London, The Right Sort Marriage Agency is thriving. Miss Iris Sparks and Mrs. Gwendolyn Bainbridge decide to take over the vacant office across the hall, which comes with some professional furniture, including a partner's desk from Harrod's. However, strange occurrences start happening in the new office - odd noises, furniture moved and cleaned mysteriously, all behind a locked door. The building's janitor believes that the office is haunted.
But Sparks and Bainbridge are not convinced. They suspect that something fishy is going on with the partner's desk and the closed office. With their detective skills, they are determined to uncover the truth behind the mystery of the haunted partner's desk...or risk everything trying.
