However, Carly Hale, the owner of the Grilled Cheese Eatery, is faced with a serious grudge from Ferris Menard, the owner of Sub-a-Dub-Sub. Menard accused Carly of sabotage after one of Carly's employees quit his part-time gig at Menard's sub shop, leading to a confrontation at the Eatery. Menard vowed to bring Carly down.

When Menard's body is found in his kitchen the morning after the competition with a steak knife sticking out of his heart, Carly realizes that he had many enemies. If she doesn't discover the culprit among them, she or someone she cares about might end up serving grilled cheese sandwiches under lock and brie!
