About the book

Nate finds himself involved in a mission to save a kidnapped woman in Paris, organized by Terkel. This mission is far from ordinary and Nate senses that it will be unlike anything he has ever experienced.

While on a layover in Paris on his way to Africa with Bullard, Nate discovers Madeline tied up in a hotel room with another captive named Anna. He explains that he was called in to find Madeline when she didn't arrive as expected. However, Madeline is skeptical of Nate and questions whether she can trust him, especially since she can't remember who kidnapped her.

Madeline becomes even more anxious when Anna goes missing again. She wonders if the kidnappers are planning a second abduction with her as the target.
