About the book
NANTUCKET SISTERS
When they first meet as young girls on a beach in Nantucket, Maggie McIntyre and Emily Porter quickly become close friends. Despite Emily's prestigious mother's wishes for her to socialize with wealthy daughters of bankers and statesmen instead of the daughter of a local seamstress, the two girls spend many summer days together building sand castles, creating magical worlds, and dreaming of their futures. Even as Emily falls in love with Maggie's brother, Ben, their friendship remains strong. However, everything changes when the charming Wall Street trader Cameron Chadwick enters their lives, putting their friendship to the test.
As Maggie and Emily navigate difficult choices and hidden secrets, they discover that the journey to love and fulfillment is unpredictable and full of surprises. They learn that while true love may be rare, a true friendship is even rarer.
THE GUEST COTTAGE
At thirty-six, Sophie Anderson has always been the sensible one, fulfilling her roles as a supportive wife and a capable mother. However, when her husband unexpectedly announces he is leaving her for another woman, Sophie finds herself at a loss. Taking a spontaneous decision, she rents a guest cottage on Nantucket from her friend Susie Swenson and embarks on a family vacation with her children, Jonah and Lacey.
On the other side, Trevor Black, a software entrepreneur coping with the recent loss of his wife, decides to spend the summer on Nantucket with his son Leo in hopes of reconnecting. Renting a guest house from his friend Ivan Swenson, Trevor's and Sophie's paths cross when they realize they have mistakenly rented the same house. Despite the slight mix-up, they agree to share the cottage and make it a memorable summer for their families.
