However, a violent storm diverts their course and severely damages the ship, forcing the captain to abandon the sisters on a Guadeloupe shoreline with a promise to return. As darkness descends and rescue remains elusive, Tempest seeks refuge.

Upon his return from dispatching the gathered intelligence, Rhys is taken aback to discover that six females have sought shelter in his humble abode beneath the trees, a structure he built with his own hands. Despite his desire for their departure, Rhys understands the need to safeguard Tempest and her sisters until he can secure their evacuation before the impending conflict ensues.
