Montana Coggeshall is in a tight spot — not just because of his brand new leather pants gifted by the goddess Eona. His small safehold in the harsh world of Vuldranni is facing threats from all sides.

On one front is Lord Caticorix, a top-notch Imperial lackey. While he may seem absurd, the army he commands is nothing to scoff at. Their goal? To cut off Coggeshall's access to essential resources from the outside world.

And on the other side are the ursus, the formidable bear people who have always lived in this valley. Unhappy with Montana for offering refuge to some ursus refugees, they want him, along with Goldilocks and her followers, gone.

Conflicts are brewing, and the entire town is at risk. Despite his skills, Montana knows he must train hard to navigate this crisis. Lives are on the line — children could go hungry, friends are missing — and Montana is unsure if he can save them all.

The line between this gaming world and reality is blurring, and Montana is feeling the pressure.
