Cinnamon, a project manager who works from home, is heavily involved in global dog rescues of all kinds. When Ethan walked into the vet's office next door with an injured shepherd in his arms, she saw another lost soul - much like the canine souls she helps.

Despite knowing the danger he's about to face, Ethan is determined to do his job and protect animals at all costs. The shepherd he rescued has faced too much abuse, and Ethan fears she is just the beginning of a larger nightmare. But he believes that she will lead him in the right direction.
