About the book

Delta is always willing to assist animals in need, especially when the call for help is from Kat and Badger. Delta learns that the animal in question is a retired K9 dog, now working as a source of comfort for other injured dogs. This knowledge only fuels Delta’s determination. However, upon arriving in town, Delta finds that his contact has disappeared, and the War Dog is also missing. Despite looking forward to a dinner with the woman he had spoken to frequently over the phone, Delta now finds himself caught up in a troubling situation that extends beyond just one War Dog.

Rebecca has always had a soft spot for animals, and the retired War Dog, Gracie, has found a special place in her heart. However, Rebecca's efforts to adopt Gracie from the center are constantly met with obstacles. As Rebecca searches for a solution, she uncovers something darker and realizes she may be in over her head.

All Rebecca can do is hope that Delta will come through for both her and Gracie before it's too late.
