After a kayaking mishap off the coast of Seattle, Whimsy falls into a coma where her nightmares consist of drowning over and over. Upon waking, she finds herself on a deserted island, with a peculiar rescuer, two dogs with unique personalities, and inexplicable voices, sounds, and feelings not exclusively her own.

Into an enigma that defies logic ...

Samson heeded the distress call to aid the woman washed ashore, and his dogs were already in action by the time he arrived. Unbeknownst to him, the impact this woman would have on his life ... and that of his sibling, was immense.

Yet, the enigma transcends both of them ...

Furthermore, there is another component at play. A research team has been illicitly conducting experiments on the earth's tectonic plates, ... resulting in unforeseen repercussions ... far beneath the surface.
