About the book
Starting off where the previous book, The Glass Rainbow, concluded, Creole Belle follows the story of Dave Robicheaux. After being in a recovery unit in New Orleans, Dave is visited by a Creole girl named Tee Jolie Melton. She leaves him an iPod with the country blues song 'Creole Belle' before disappearing mysteriously. This event triggers Dave's obsession with the song and memories of Tee Jolie, leading him on a quest to find her sister. However, the discovery of her sister inside a block of ice in the Gulf complicates things.
Meanwhile, an oil well blowout in the Gulf threatens the bayous, adding to the tension in the story. Creole Belle showcases James Lee Burke's exceptional storytelling, with series favorite Dave Robicheaux at the forefront as he battles to protect both the land and the people he cares for.
