About the book

Maximilian is the final descendant of the noble Valevsky family. They were all executed because it was believed they tried to assassinate the powerful Duke of Odoevsky, who wanted their land.

The young man escaped the death sentence, but not the consequences. Now, he is condemned to a life as a soldier fighting against Skron's mutated creatures. 'Do or die' is the motto that drives him forward. The Duke has taken everything from him except his honor and a desire for revenge.

Maximilian has sworn to rise from his current situation and reclaim what is rightfully his. However, he must first complete his training and survive. As a new recruit, he cannot afford to think of anything else.
