About the book

Blaze's original plan was to return to his hometown of Rockfield, Kentucky at some point in the future. However, he never expected that day to come so soon...

That is, until Badger presents him with a compelling reason to make the journey. As a dedicated volunteer for animal rescue missions, Blaze feels compelled to help Solo, a shepherd struggling with severe dissociative issues stemming from her time in the military.

Meanwhile, Camilla is on her way to an event she has organized when she narrowly avoids hitting a dog darting across the road. Blaze witnesses the incident and rushes to assist, realizing that this might be the very shepherd he has been searching for. To make things even better, Camilla turns out to be quite a character, bringing a much-needed smile to Blaze's face.

However, past wounds run deep, and certain individuals are not pleased with the bond forming between Blaze and Camilla. How far will they go to put an end to it? And who will emerge unscathed when all is said and done?
