Anthony Riches developed a passion for war and soldiers from an early age, inspired by his father's anecdotes about World War II. This passion drove him to pursue a degree in Military Studies at Manchester University. In 1996, during a visit to Housesteads, he found the inspiration to start writing the novel "Wounds of Honour". Currently, he resides in Hertfordshire with his wife and three children.
