Adrian Tchaikovsky hails from Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire, but later moved to Reading to pursue studies in psychology and zoology. Surprisingly, he found himself drawn to the field of law and has since worked as a legal executive in both Reading and Leeds, where he currently resides. Despite his profession, Adrian is an avid live role-player and occasional amateur actor. He has also received training in stage-fighting and maintains a household without any exotic or dangerous pets, unless you count his son.
He is best known for his acclaimed series, Shadows of the Apt, as well as the Echoes of the Fall series. Additionally, Adrian has written several standalone novels, with Children of Time being the most notable. This novel garnered him the prestigious 30th Anniversary Arthur C. Clarke Award for Best Science Fiction Novel.
