Following the discovery of a chewed body at a popular tourist spot, detective Saxon Kirby, who is of Elven descent, is taking charge of the inquiry to identify the culprit behind the attack on Las Vegas tourism. His prime suspect? A werewolf. The keeper of the werewolves in Vegas is responsible for keeping them in line, just like keepers have done for vampires, shifters, and other supernatural beings for more than a hundred years. Unfortunately, the local keeper is ineffective, leaving Saxon as the only one standing in the way of the bloodthirsty wolf.

Saxon's investigation leads him to collaborate closely with Calleigh McGowan, a dancer who is half-werewolf and half-Elven. Although Calleigh proves to be a tempting distraction for Saxon, she has her own motivations for tracking down the rogue werewolf. In order to apprehend the killer, they must be willing to risk their lives—and their hearts.
