About the book

Spring has arrived in Wyoming. Preacher is on the move, joining a trail drive led by the adventurous Wiley Courtland.

Wiley is on a mission to deliver good horses to the American Fur Company at Fort Gifford. However, their journey is interrupted by an Indian war party led by the cunning Red Knife. Despite facing fierce opposition, the horse traders manage to reach Fort Gifford. There, the commander's beautiful wife takes matters into her own hands, with the assistance of Preacher's new friend Wiley.

As jealousy brews among the characters, Red Knife and his warriors launch a siege on the fort. Treachery ultimately leads to a devastating massacre before reinforcements can arrive, leaving only one man alive.

Emerging from the chaos, the lone survivor, Preacher, vows revenge and sets off on a solo mission. Armed and determined, he begins his quest for retribution amidst the smoke and blood of battle.
