About the book

In the Montana Territory, a group of Assiniboine Indians offers Preacher shelter during the winter. Raven's Wing, a beautiful woman, adds to the warmth and comfort of their hospitality. However, Preacher must first confront a jealous brave who seeks to harm him. On the other side of the border, a different traveler and tribe await.

Preacher's old foe, Willie Deaver, manipulates a group of Indians with a deadly mix of whisky, firearms, and ammunition. He then encourages them to attack the Assiniboine, resulting in tragic loss of life, bloodshed, and captives. Deaver is pleased to hear that Preacher is among the casualties.

Despite the harsh conditions of snow and the few survivors with him, Preacher rises up with a rifle, fueled by anger and seeking vengeance against Deaver for the atrocities committed.
