About the book

There are two types of traps found in the Old West. One type is used by Preacher and his friend, Charlie, to catch a large amount of fur pelts. The other type is a trap that Charlie falls into, set by a deceitful gambler and his alluring partner in crime in order to deceive Charlie of his fur money. Preacher cannot stand to see his close friend being cheated, so he embarks on a journey to seek justice.

He tracks down the con artists on a riverboat headed towards New Orleans. Initially, Preacher delves into the shady world of the French Quarter. Subsequently, he finds himself captive on a pirate ship sailing towards a perilous destination. With no other choice, Preacher decides to incite a mutiny, seize control of the ship, and ultimately return to New Orleans to ensure that Charlie gets his money back, all while attempting to avoid any hazardous consequences.
