About the book

When children in Los Angeles are kidnapped without many clues and no ransom, FBI agent Blake Wilder and her team are called in to investigate. Upon their arrival, Blake collaborates with the LAPD Juvenile Division as five children between the ages of three and five have disappeared in recent months with no progress made by LAPD. There are concerns that the children may be victims of human trafficking.

The team starts analyzing footage from the areas where the children were taken and spots a few individuals who appear multiple times. However, with limited leads and numerous dead ends, frustration builds up. As threats are made against the team's loved ones during the ongoing investigation, Blake urgently reaches out to Ayad at the Seattle Field Office for assistance in protecting them.

Unable to receive help, Blake is distraught and turns to Fish, asking him to keep a watch over their families. With danger lurking at every turn, the team becomes increasingly desperate. In order to rescue the missing children and their loved ones, Blake and her team must take drastic measures and confront two menacing threats directly.
