Debbie Hutchins is not exactly the most festive person, except for her online alter ego, the Sugarplum Fairy. Behind the whimsical screen name, Debbie runs a holiday hustle by buying old decorations from estate sales and selling them online for a profit. As a child, Debbie cherished her collection of holiday trinkets, especially her beloved nutcrackers. Inspired by her grandmother, Debbie dreamt of a future as vibrant and dreamlike as The Nutcracker ballet. However, her dreams came crashing down when her grandmother passed away.

One day, Debbie stumbles upon a treasure trove of authentic vintage nutcrackers and initially plans to sell them quickly. But when she discovers a note hidden among the collection, written from a great-grandmother to her great-grandson, Debbie's heart softens. Memories of her own grandmother come rushing back, prompting her to embark on a new mission for the holidays - to reunite the heirlooms with their rightful owner. Though helping a grieving family won't be easy, the process may just help Debbie reconnect with the Christmas dreamer inside of her.
