Their paths cross on a desolate country road during a snowstorm, seeking refuge in an abandoned cottage. Despite the undeniable spark between them, Priscilla chooses to give Timothy a false name to avoid being judged. They part ways, believing they will never meet again.

However, fate has other plans as they are reunited in London. As Timothy discovers Priscilla's true identity, she implores him to assist her in salvaging her reputation and finding a suitable husband. With each potential suitor, it becomes evident that the only man he envisions her with is himself.
